Dancing Pilgrims

Image details to be added soon. The Mahamastakabhisheka festival at Shravanabelagola takes place once every twelve years. The head of the statue of Lord Bahubali, said to be the world's largest free standing monolith (17.5 m, 58 ft, tall) is annointed with various liquids, powders and even gold leaf. This image was captured during the first such festival of the new millennium, which attracted about three million pilgrims.
